A unique one-day workshop to kick-off the next phase of community development within the iLEAP alumni community, by cultivating string interpersonal relationships through a series of robotics coding challenges and the creation of an online group manifesto.

As a part of Microsoft’s global youth initiative, YouthSpark, Make It Creative developed a custom one-day program for youth in Fukuoka and Kamasishi. Students learnt the fundamentals of coding, and then put their newly acquired skills to use by programing a robot to navigate a series of obstacle courses. The day also featured a panel discussion with invited entrepreneurs sharing their experience of harnessing the power of IT for a better world.

Hokkaido, Bekkaicho is a rural dairy town looking for ways to create a sustainable future for the next generation of citizens. MIC built a Design Thinking program to explore the opportunities offered by Teleworking.

This one-day intensive workshop held in Sendai, Tokyo and Kobe focused on addressing local community needs through the smart use of IoT devices.

In collaboration with the student team that first formed around TEDxTohoku in 2011, and later participated in our Microsoft YouthSpark project workshops in 2014, Make It Creative facilitated a 2-day Hackathon at the University of Tohoku.

Make It Creative partnered with NPO WakamonoUP to facilitate a workshop for staff from 30 partner organizations across Japan exploring the potential of ICT to help empower disadvantaged youth.

This original 1-day workshop saw a group of young J-Wave radio fans join us for a fun but intense Design Thinking session in which they researched new program ideas, and then recorded professional commercials for their programs. J-Wave later created a 1-hour radio program about this session.

MIC worked with the Safecast team to reimagine what an anniversary event could be, and subsequently organized the first Safecast Citizen Science Conference, featuring a wide range of experts from the field of citizen science.

Make It Creative was invited to create and deliver a custom 90-minute program introducing Design Thinking principles & tools to 240 students enrolled on the 2015 Career Planning Course.

MIC provided a workshop for teachers focused on the latest tools for creating prototype IoT devices.
